A ‘stealthy’ ranch style Modern home
We call this elegant modern style home stealth ranch style, as it was required to fit in with its adjacent 50’s ranch style neighbors. The wings of the plan on each side are quite compatible, but the center section rises to one and a half stories and is clearly contemporary, as are the interiors. The lot is wedge shaped, and the house has a unique floor plan with angled wings that opens it up to a beautiful back yard. The tall entry combines a formal living and dining room separated by a freestanding two way fireplace with niches to display the owner’s art collection. A large kitchen, family room and guest bedroom form one wing, while the other wing consists of three bedrooms and baths. A partial walk-out basement provides additional play areas, and a clever roof level private deck overlooking the back yard is tucked in over the kitchen — perfect for the owner’s cigar habit.
