Through a glass lightly!

Christine’s first experience with glass took place in her freshman year at MIT where she learned the basics of  stained glass through a class at the Student Art Association. Further classes at the Sharon Art Studio in San Francisco exposed her to the process of painting on glass, a centuries old process of layering powdered pigments that then get fused into the glass in a kiln. As each piece can take 4-8 firings, it soon became clear that we needed our own kiln.  Fused glass jewelry and glass slumping then became possible!
